Upload any file type to your Test Cases in Vansah

You can upload any file type to your Test Cases, Test Steps, Test Results, and Test Comments to enrich your testing process. With a simple click on the Media/File  attach button, users can select files of various formats, including images, videos, documents, and more.

Additionally, for video file types, users can enjoy a preview directly embedded into the editor, enhancing the visibility of their content. This streamlined capability empowers users to augment their testing artifacts with diverse multimedia elements, fostering a more comprehensive and effective testing process.

1.Locate the Image/Media Attach Button:

    • When creating or editing a Test Case, Test Run, or Test Comment in Vansah Test Management for Jira, you will find an “Media/File Attach” button within the editor interface.

2.Click on the Button:

    • Click on the “Media/File Attach” button to initiate the file selection process.

3.Select the File:

    • A file selection dialog will open, allowing you to choose the file you wish to upload. You can select files of various formats, including images, videos, documents, and more.

4.Maximum File Size:

    • Please note that the maximum file size for upload is set at 100MB. 

5.Preview File:

      • If the selected file is a video file format such as an .mp4 file then Vansah will provide a preview of the video embedded directly into the editor. This allows you to visualize and resize the content of the video before finalizing the upload. The video preview will remain inside the editor after saving it.

6. Complete the Upload:

    • After selecting the file and confirming its contents, click on the Save button within the editor.

By following these steps, you can seamlessly upload all file types, including videos with embedded previews, into Test Cases, Test Runs, and Test Comments within Vansah Test Management for Jira.
