Integrate Tricentis Tosca with Vansah Test Management for Jira

1. Install Vansah Test Management for Jira

  • Ensure that Vansah Test Management for Jira is installed in your Jira environment. You may need to obtain the necessary installation package from the Atlassian Marketplace and follow the installation instructions provided.

2. Set Up Vansah Test Management for Jira

  • Once Vansah Test Management for Jira is installed, configure and set it up according to your testing requirements within Jira. This may involve defining test cases, requirements, and other testing artifacts.

3. Create a Tosca Module to connect to Vansah

Create a Module and ModuleAttributes manually
  • Once you have created a Module, you are able to create ModuleAttributes manually and you can add properties.
  • Select the folder in which the new Module should be created.
  • Select the option Create XModule from the context menu. You can also left-click on the Module folder and select  Create Object->XModule from the dynamic menu Modules.
  • Tosca Commander will create a new Module at the required position and automatically offers to rename it. Give the module a meaningful name such as VansahConnect.
  • Select the option Create ModuleAttribute from the context menu of the XModule to create ModuleAttributes.
  • Add the API Post Method POST /api/v1/run/ “Creates a Test Run to execute a Test Case in Jira. You can use this API to send a Test Result”

4. Define Test Execution and Reporting Strategy

  • Determine how you want to execute tests from Tosca and report the results in Vansah Test Management for Jira. This may include mapping Tosca test cases to corresponding test cases in Vansah, defining test execution cycles, and establishing a workflow for updating test status and results.

5. Test the Integration
